Something Else to Make You Cry

This video tribute to Stephanie Nielson, whose accident I recently blogged about, is amazing.

Balloons for Nie from Jared Foster on Vimeo.
It made me cry. I didn't follow her blog before but I loved hearing this blogger, Melancholy Smile, describe why she loved reading her posts. Just hearing someone else talk about what makes Stephanie so amazing, makes me want to be a better mother.
(doing things like this and this and especially this for example)
Also, her sister, C Jane Enjoy It, posted an update from her brother who recently visited Christian and Stephanie in the hospital. (also, I loved this post from her about her husband's birthday from last week if you want to check it out)

I was SOOO scared when I first started reading this that she had passed away! I covered my mouth and gasped. Whew... that was close.

Sorry for the scare :-)! Did you click on the last "this" I mentioned? It is the cutest idea! We should all do it at the riverwalk next time we visit!

I know! it was a fabulous idea. I love it. We will.

I also put up the tribute on my blog. Hope you don't mind my copy-cat-iness. ;)

I've been following NieNie's story and it's almost too much to wrap your mind around. My son & I made Stephanie and Christian cards and just mailed them off. It's not much but prayers are attached to those cards.

Oh, and if you could email me your shipping address for the Pay It Forward, that would be great...

I have been touched by Nie's life. The more I read, the more I am inspired by her simple greatness. I love the idea of placing "happy fortunes" at Riverwalk! Let's do it!

I am so in love with this whole family. What an inspiration reading all of this is to me. I really need to clean the kitchen and make sure everyone is set for school but I'm soooo addicted.
I wish I could come to the Riverwalk with you guys. That will be so fun.

We can do it in Houston too! Let's figure out when :-)!!!

I had read a little about it all, but that video really made it all hit harder. She does seem great. I had seen that idea for the back to school feast and loved it, but the others were so great too! The happy fortunes is amazing, I am going to write that down to do with Ashley some day. Marci - not to be too cheesy, but you are such a great mom and I love reading your blog because it reminds me how great being a mom is and what fun things we can do!

That's a hard one to watch. The whole thing is so amazing with people rallying for them all over the world. I have to say that is one of my biggest nightmares (Ben and I being hurt, etc. in the same accident).

Thanks for posting this on your {absolutely gorgeous} blog. I think NieNie will be pleased to see how inspired so many people have been by the way she lived her life. Make sure to take pictures when you do the riverwalk thing!
