Strike a Pose, Ella!

She definitely has a little model hidden away inside...

Oh My GOSH!!!

Is the first thing I heard yesterday morning (and is also something I apparently say more than needed because Ella has been saying it A LOT). Ella was in their bathroom looking out the window..."Oh My GOSH!!! LOOK at those yellow flowers!!!" I convinced her not to pick them, but she was thrilled by her discovery :-).

This picture just makes me laugh :-)...the hair, the face...

(And just a note...it's 7:45am and the girls are STILL asleep! They have been up at 7am on the dot since they started sharing a room 1 1/2 months ago! Hooray for a quiet morning for me!)

Forget Snow Days!!!

We'll definitely take rain days instead...all the benefits without the cold :-)!
We had some crazy rain Monday night, leaving some streets flooded and resulting in the cancellation of schools around Houston. The good news for us was our area looked fine, but we still got to spend the day with Mike!
I had a doctor's appointment in the morning and she said she'll see me again next week...translation: this kid isn't coming anytime soon! In good news though, I have been sleeping a lot better the past week and it has been marvelous. If this keeps up for the next 2 weeks (YES, 2 WEEKS FROM TODAY!!!) I'll be a happy camper for the most part :-).
The girls found a mud puddle to play in while I was gone. Ella, in her typical fashion, was able to stay remarkably clean...

By the time I got home they were all cleaned up and Ella proudly told me she had picked out their outfits. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture, but the ensembles were quite creative.

We think we should maybe put Ella in softball before soccer (and watch how Addie getting hit on the head makes her start spinning in circles- she's so funny).

All About the Optical Zoom

When we were looking for a camera last year one thing that was really important to me was a good optical zoom...and this is why...nearly every picture I took yesterday was taken from the comfort of a picnic table bench while the girls played :-).
We enjoyed lunch at the park and then headed over to the splash park for the first time this year with Johnny and Livvy. (and the girls were REALLY excited to wear their princess swimsuits from the Easter bunny!)

These baby ducks were SO cute...and the mom let us get so close to them!

I love this picture with Addie's little legs poking out from the towel :-).

And check out Livvy's beach bod :-)! Sometimes Addie tells me she is scared of Livvy, weirdo, but this picture made me laugh because it does look like Livvy is out to get her!
When I woke Addie up from her nap I found she had covered herself in stickers before falling asleep.

Twenty-Eight

I tried to convince Preston that the absolute best birthday gift ever would be for him to come on my special day, but already he is paying no attention to anything I say. Figures :-)! Everything was pretty low key this year. All my family was in Utah for Kayley and Scott's graduation from BYU so we'll celebrate my birthday and Hope's (hers is the 29th) next Sunday with my mom's enchiladas. Our little family went out this weekend to a Mexican restaurant Mike and I tried for Valentine's day and really liked and then we just relaxed...which is all I wanted to do. I did attempt to talk Mike into watching Twilight with me, since it was my birthday afterall, but I wasn't sure I really wanted to watch it again either so I didn't push it too hard :-). Yesterday Mike and the girls made some yummy brownies and ice cream and I got to open my presents. Mike let Ella and Addie pick out anything they wanted for me and I ended up with some beautiful fake "roses" (according to Ella) and these lovely hand painted boxes. They are gorgeous! As for my real present, I just want to go shopping for normal clothes once I'm not pregnant any more so that will have to wait! Mike has been really sick, but he still did everything I asked and kept the kitchen clean, etc...what a man! Thank you all for your birthday wishes! It's always nice to know people remember although it also makes me feel guilty that I don't do a better job remember others' birthdays...I used to be so good about it. So if I forgot your birthday, happy birthday late and I'm sorry!!!
And if you want to see some pictures of me when I was little you can check out my mom's post here.

It's love bug season again here...Ella and Addie HATE them :-)! No matter how many times I assure them they are called love bugs because they are nice and love people they don't believe me :-).

Just pretend the "3" is an "8"...we tried to position them so you couldn't tell.

Emily took me, and the girls, to get dessert for my birthday at Ooh La La. It was delicious and I was starving :-). Thanks Emily!

By the time we got home around 3pm, the girls had had enough though!

Here's to quite time in the afternoon for everyone!!!
