Faking It

We got together with some friends at my parents' house yesterday. They have daughters Ella and Addie's ages and we were trying to help the girlies get to know each other. I took these pictures of them together which makes it look like they played together...they didn't really though :-). They all just did their own thing in the pool, but I did have fun talking to their mom Amy.

The Importance of Being Earnest

I haven't read a book or been to a book club meeting since April or May, well since the birth of Preston for sure. This month I'm hosting book club and when Susan was kind enough to drop by her copy of this book, with the promise it was a quick read, I figured I should try and get back on track! It was a fun story that I read in just a couple hours. I just feel proud to have completed a book again finally...even if it was only 50 pages long :-)! Maybe now I'll finally finish the other two books I started months ago! I'm excited that I'll get to join in the discussion on Thursday!
The Importance of Being Earnest The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Just the book I needed to get back on my reading track!
It is a fast and easy read that had me laughing to myself from the first few lines.
I did not love the ending, but still enjoyed the story overall.

The Process

we did this...

So That Yesterday
we could do this...

(I almost deleted the shot of Addie below...until I noticed her belly resting on the counter :-)...then I couldn't!)

They weren't pretty...but they still seemed to taste great :-).

And one picture of cute Livvy.

We also went to the pool earlier that day and I forgot my camera!!! I felt like part of me was missing! It was the first time Ella and Johnny and seen each other in weeks and I kept seeing cute little moments between them -
it killed me to not be able to capture one of them!

Scared?! I am too. Ella has been practicing taking pictures lately and is quite a little director...
I just do as I'm told :-)! No wonder she thinks it is so fun!

Preston LOVES having Ella read to him.

I trimmed off some of Addie's scraggles so her hair is slightly more manageable now.
Yesterday we tagged along with Mike to a carpet job. Addie never has a problem coming up with ways to entertain herself.

Ella took many more pictures and this one was her favorite because Preston is saying "hi" to the camera.
Photobucket
I also took many more pictures and took advantage of my long arms to get pictures of Preston over my own shoulder.
Impressed?! I was :-).
Is it just me, or does he keep getting cuter?!
(and the fact that he slept all night again last night, 7:30pm-6am, in NO way influences that observation)

Preston fell in love with the trees out the window and that was all the entertainment he needed.
