What a Christmas Day!

It would be impossible to top last year's Christmas morning reaction :-), but I loved that Ella brought her make-up with her this year and that the first thing Addie noticed was that the cookies were gone.

Santa (according to Ella) or Herbie (according to Addie) left us a surprise Christmas drawing on the countdown board Kayley made us. They are still talking about it :-).

The girls were able to play with their new toys and squeeze in one viewing of the Tinkerbell movie before it was time to head to Nana and Grandad's for Christmas morning brunch.

Christmas brunch is my very favorite meal of the holiday :-). I love a big breakfast!
This year we had gingerbread waffles, puffed pancackes, delicious southwestern hasbrowns, a new breakfast quiche I made (I haven't posted the recipe yet), southwestern quiche, fresh fruit, sausage, hot chocolate, orange juice, and breakfast pastries. Did I forget anything?! I'm ready for a round two :-)!
The girls filled Grammy in on what Santa brought and my dad shared a Christmas message before we started eating.

Nana and Grandad sat with the girlies...they felt so special. Thanks for always thinking of them first mom :-)!

We were able to hang out a little bit afterward before rushing home to throw our things in the car and head to San Antonio. We were there long enough for Greatfrog to be given a new hairstyle and Preston to spit up all over Cheryl's coat and new purse :-)...we didn't want anyone to forget us once we left!

The drive to San Antonio was a perfect opportunity to watch our Christmas movies...until all the excitement of the past week finally caught up with us...Everyone but Preston that is :-).

We finally made it!!! Just in time for more food :-)! Since no one was home for Thanksgiving we had Thanksgiving dinner for Christmas...complete with pies for dessert. It was delicious of course :-). (some of these pictures are "borrowed" from Diane)

Once we all ate WAY too much (again), it was time for the annual Freeman family Christmas program (Mike's VERY favorite part of the night :-), and Mike, the kids and I opened our presents.

We sang Feliz Navidad so Ella could show off some of her Spanish skills :-).

With Ella being very protective of her make-up bag, Addie was thrilled to get her very own "lipstick". Chrissy made some cute felt hair clips for the girls, Britt found a rubber duck that perfectly fit each child (a cat one for Addie, a princess for Ella and a baseball player for Preston), and Meema and Chloe made each child a hat and scarf. They are SO cute (more pictures to come of those)! (Ella was especially excited about her dog hat)

The girls look forward to a story from Meema at bedtime when we stay with them.

Needless to say we were ALL ready for bed that night :-)!
It was the first of many long nights sharing a room with Preston (he was starting a cold and had already not been sleeping great in his own bed before we came, so it was not a surprise, but still rough for us)...it's hard to be Preston :-).

Aww, what a great day. It's neat that your families live close enough that you can see everyone. I like the "Christmas Program." Looks like fun. :)
