So, after the thrill of the dance recital in the morning on Friday, Nana gave the girls a little early Christmas present...yummy lollipops and Tiana charm bracelets. Addie was very excited about her candy and didn't care at all about the bracelet, but we'll hang on to it in case she changes her mind later :-).
(and in case you are wondering about their cute poinsettia clips, my mom made those too)
It was a half day so Ella was home early and as soon as Mike got home from work I took the girls to our library for a fun Christmas event they had going on (Preston was still sleeping). We have loved our library and it's awesome librarians for many years now, but this event definitely gave us a whole new appreciation!
The girls were in HEAVEN! There was a pony ride, face painting, Santa and Mrs. Claus visits, multiple Christmas crafts and yummy snacks and soda...and of course we got to hang out with some of our favorite friends too :-). Plus, it was all Free!
Here are some pictures of our fun...
the girls started their rides SUPER excited, but became more and more nervous as their turn went on, overall they still loved it though
too bad I focused on Addie and not Ella in this one
Mrs. Claus is one of our friendly librarians
Then we waited in line (for quite a long time) to get our faces painted, but it was worth it. Ella wanted a dog face and Addie a cat, of course :-). We danced to the Christmas music a DJ was playing while we waited and talked with Miss Judy and Miss Venitha until it was our turn.
Ella and Venitha
Ella was up first...and she was seriously a superstar when she was done! All these strangers were asking if they could take pictures of her because they thought her face painting was amazing. This lady was seriously good!!!
Then it was Addie's turn. She had a little bit of a hard time sitting still at first, but she got used to and loved her cat face.
Definitely worth the wait :-)!!!
And then we showed off the cute new faces to all the librarians before making some crafts and eating before heading home.
(notice the girls' Christmas finger nails...that was Ella's idea and I had to find green nail polish, but it does look super cute)
