Saturday was our real party day for Miss Adeline. We went to Chuck E Cheese first thing in the morning and had the place to ourselves for a full hour...no joke! Although we were the guinea pigs for making sure the games worked which was not always fun, it all balanced out when my mom and Hope discovered at least 100 tickets by one of the games. I think all the adults had just as much fun playing games as the kids, and the kids had fun picking out goodies with the over 1,000 tickets we collectively earned. We are so glad so many family members were able to come and help us celebrate Addie's special day!
We went home and ate pizza, opened presents from Meema & Papa, and Chrissy & Zach (who wouldn't be there the next day for the family dinner and present party), and then while the older half of the crew went to watch a Bush HS basketball game, Addie and I made all the cupcakes for the next day's party. Preston woke up half way through the process (we made funfetti and chocolate cupcakes) and was thrilled to join in just in time for licking the bowl clean :-).
That night we went out to eat at Cheddar's with the Freefam representatives :-) before they drove back to San Antonio. Although our waiter told us they don't sing there because they don't want to "disturb the peace" :-), they did bring Addie a huge ice cream Sunday, which she was plenty happy about!
Here are lots of pictures from the busy day...
Addie was very disappointed in me that I shut my eyes at the exact moment the picture clicked. Every time she looks at it she asks why I did it...sorry :-(!
