After getting everyone ready in their cute, festive outfits we had a mini-photo shoot before taking Ella to school. I was thankful that even the rain showed it's love by giving us a break for the day!
My Silly and Sweet Valentine, Preston
My Little Squishable Doll Valentine, Adeline
My Sophisticated Grown-Up Valentine, Gabriella
she was so excited that her hair looked just like Rebecca's
It ended up being an absolutely beautiful day and after taking Addie to preschool and Preston to play with Ian, I took advantage of being childless and went for a run outside. We haven't been going to the gym much lately because I've been avoiding the child care and I need sunshine in my life :-), so to be exercising with the sun shining down on me felt magnificent! Before I knew it, it was time to head back to Addie's school for her Valentine party and meet up with Preston.
Towards the end of the party, Preston attached himself to my foot and did not want to get off...the joys of children :-).
Addie spent a lot of time looking through all the treats she received from her friends, and begging me to eat more of it.
The afternoon became a rush to get our treats made and our cards finished before Ella's dance class. Mike arrived home with more treats for everyone, which we were all excited about. We managed to get it all done, but I'm hoping next year the weekend before the holiday will be less busy so we can do our treat delivering before the actual day :-). Once it was all done and the kids were in bed, Mike and I enjoyed Cheesecake Factory take-out in peace and quite! Happy Valentine's Day!
These sugar cookie bars were Amazing though...I couldn't stop eating them.
