My mom and I went out to lunch one day last week and were told that La Centerra was having an arts festival that Saturday (24th), so we went! Mike ended up having a carpet job that morning, so I headed over with the kids to check it out. I was thinking we would be there about an hour but we ended up staying all morning long until we were all super hungry for lunch before heading back home.
There were so many fun things for the kids to make and do and see.
Addie was definitely most excited about the Wildlife Rescue booth where she got to hold a turtle and check out lizards, snakes, an owl and a possum. She LOVES animals so much that she wasn't even interested in going down the big inflatable slide right next to the booth. We did get her to do it once and then she went right back to the animals while Preston and Ella kept going down the slide.
Preston was getting pretty grumpy by the end, but overall we had a blast and got lots of cool little freebies (like 2 tickets to the Alamo!!! date night!). Such a fun way to kick off the weekend!
Addie just did glitter because we had such a hard time getting the color out of her hair last time.
We are LOVING our beautiful, sunny, and sometimes hot weather. Aside from the mosquitoes playing outside is a dream right now. Yesterday I got all the kids closets switched over from our winter to our summer wardrobes so now we are ready to go!
