A few pictures from the drive and videos of silly Preston NOT going to sleep that night in the hotel. He had amazing stamina and was able to stay awake for at least an hour after he was put in bed every night we were gone (despite how busy the day had been). The girls on the other hand, they were out instantly!
The next morning we were up and ready to visit with Mack and Cheryl (and Scotto too!). Their house is adorable, not to mention right near the water, and Cheryl has it decorated sooo cute. I wanted to steal everything in it and bring it home for my own house :-). We also got to meet all their pets, see Mack's bullet maker and then go out for a day on the boat!
Ella and Apache
(they thought he was going to be a rotweiller as a puppy, he has the head and huge paws, but his body didn't turn out quite as expected :-)
We all miss uncle Scott!!!
Ella is getting too cool for us. She didn't want to wear her life jacket until we were on the boat and it was necessary :-). Cheryl took us on a little adventure walk while the boys got the boat in the water and came to pick us up on the dock across from their house.
Mack and Cheryl were such great hosts! They made sure they had enough life jackets, brought cold drinks for the trip (including all natural juice boxes for the kids :-), and really showed us all there was to see (and eat!). Not to mention Cheryl grabbed my camera through out the day so I'm actually in some pictures! We are ready to go back...NOW!
They took us to this awesome little seafood restaurant on the water for lunch. It was so fun to drive the boat up to the dock and just go into the restaurant! I could definitely get used to that lifestyle :-). We were also introduced to clams for the first time. Mike is a huge fan, Ella was not and I was somewhere in the middle :-). Addie was fascinated by the two clams that had little tiny crabs inside. There was also this cool musician there playing. I definitely understand why Mack and Cheryl love where they live so much...everyday is a vacation!
Mike took this pretty shot as we walked back down the dock to the boat.
More from the day to come!
