Folk Life Festival

Last Saturday, March 31st, we ended up having a free morning so we went to check out the Folk Life Festival Katy ISD was having. It was a fun little family affair and the kids had a blast making rag dolls, cornhusk dolls, indian bead bracelets, learning some cherokee, punching tin, washing clothes the old fashioned way and chasing chickens. It was extra fun since Mike was able to come with us this time around. We are quickly becoming festival fans! We spent the rest of the weekend trying to listen to conference amongst the kids being loud and then had our traditional dinner at the end of conference with my family. This year Kayley and Scott ended up missing it because Kayley was admitted to the hospital to have baby Oliver...it was a good excuse!

I started videoing Preston hammering because he was holding the hammer in his left hand and trying to hammer while still waving his right arm in the air like it was hammering too. He stopped by the time I was ready, but it was still funny watching him hammer Mike's hand :-).
