Washington: An Afternoon with Sara

We stayed with Chrissy and Zach most of the time we were in Washington, but Saturday afternoon I drove the kids up to Seattle to visit another of my college roommates, Sara. Ella was very interested in the silly stories I told about Sara back in our college days on the drive there :-). Our visit was shorter than I would have liked, but we fit in lots of fun while we could. My crazy kids loved Sara's crazy boys. Preston and Gideon especially hit it off while we explored the zoo and I loved chatting back at their place afterward. Addie loved learning about which plants are edible on our walk there...she would love living with Sara and getting to explore the outdoors constantly. The best part of our RV trip was definitely getting to meet the families of some of my favorite people! Thanks for the fun afternoon Sara (and the homemade bread, Rob!).

Sara's husband Rob was able to meet up with us for awhile and the boys loved having him push them around crazy in the stroller.

I can't believe you guys drove all the way to Washington! That is quite a drive. It's great that you got to come and visit your roommate. It looks like you had such a great time and got to do some fun things. And it sounds like you got to experience a real Washington summer--warm, sunny, cold, rainy. I always say that summer in Washington is like winter in Texas.

Looks like so much fun! My friend Laura is in Sara's ward, so she gets to go to nature school! Oh, and that is a fabulous picture of you two :)
