Jet Band March-a-thon

Last Saturday (18th) it was time once again for Hope's (Taylor High School's) annual March-a-thon. The parade route was changed this year so we didn't get to hang out on the beautiful tree-lined street we have the past two years. Instead we were planning to have them play a mini-concert for us at our church parking lot, which was right along their way. The band ended up being there nearly an hour before the estimated time we were given so we rushed out the door and picked an improvised corner instead. The good news was we didn't have to sweat it out in the heat waiting forever for the band to show up. Hope is playing cymbals in the drumline this year (since there are no bassoons in the marching band :-) and I am super excited! I love drumlines! The kids were grumps that morning, but I'm still glad we went! We went and cooled off in Nana and Grandad's pool for a bit afterwards.
