Addie's Dewberry Farm Field trip

On Wednesday, the 24th, Addie's kindergarten class went on a field trip to Dewberry Farm and I got to come along. This is actually the first field trip I have been able to go (sorry Ella!) so I was excited. I quickly realized it is a lot of work to go on a field trip though, especially with kindergarteners, but I'm glad I got to be there with Add on her special day. The kids LOVED every minute of it!
(and I once again was amazed that these teachers not only have all these kids in a classroom everyday by themselves but actually teach them at the same time, and teach them a lot too!)

each child got to pick a little pumpkin to take home and although Addie initially had picked this one, she later found a little pear-shaped gourd and brought that one home instead

waiting to go into Punkin Hollar...
some of the kids were pretty nervous as we first walked in to the dark building, but it was really amazing. there was tons of pumpkins carved with famous people, sports teams, cartoon characters, animals, etc. someone has some serious pumpkin carving talent!
