The All Important Captain

It was Addie's turn to be captain at last Saturday's soccer game (20th). The title comes with great responsibility...like providing snacks and drinks to the team at half time :-). She was excited about it though and overall did better than the previous week's game I think. There was still a lot of wandering off the field while she was supposed to be playing, although this time it was nearly time to rotate when she would do it, and there was some crying about not getting a turn with the ball, but not as much. I am hopeful that by this Saturday's game she will be a pro :-)! Soccer is once again providing us with the opportunity to teach that once we commit to something we follow it through...and then we don't have to do it ever again :-).

Coach Hakeem is very patient.
This is one crazy group...seriously, Addie is the least of his worries.

I don't think I ever posted about Preston cutting his own hair...that nice chunk in front that is now finally growing in. Or how he cut the ties off of 2 pairs of his winter pants I had just put in his drawer. Or when he cut the ties off of Ella's American girl box set of books. All the scissors are now hidden away!

Addie the dedicated goalie :-).
When the ball is coming she actually does have a cute ready position though.
