Halloween!

The real day finally arrived and we were a little excited about it. After dressing up so many times already I was more looking forward to relaxing at my parents' house for our traditional taco soup dinner than anything else :-), but the kids were still ready to trick or treat. We hung out with everyone, watched their neighborhood Halloween parade walk by and then did a bit of trick or treating. This was our shortest trip around yet and definitely the least amount of candy we have collected in recent Halloweens, but the kids still had plenty! They love handing out candy at our door when we get home nearly as much as going to door to door themselves and we were home early enough to do quite a bit of that this year. Happy Halloween...and on to Thanksgiving we go!

Since our kids walked right into Nana's house after I stopped recording, so did the other kids :-). It was pretty funny. What was more funny is that our kids did that to a complete stranger for no reason earlier and the teenager passing out the candy actually told them to "Please take a step back". We went over and over proper Halloween etiquette (don't go IN the house, don't GRAB candy and say THANK YOU) but they kept forgetting in the excitement of the moment. Maybe next year :-).
