Justin Bieber!!!

Tuesday afternoon Mike, Ella and I headed downtown to go to the Justin Bieber concert! Mike and I were way more excited than Ella was, but in the end she had a lot of fun too :-).
She went through a period of not liking him, I think mostly because her friends at school didn't like him anymore, so when we first asked her if she wanted to go she said no. Well, WE wanted to go! Neither of us had been to a big pop concert before and Mike got some great seats for us to enjoy the show. We bought Justin's new CD in preparation and it is so much better than the earlier ones so Ella started to get more excited about it. Plus, a night out with mom and dad by yourself is always a treat.
I was questioning whether she was too young to go to a concert on the way there and I was feeling a bit embarrassed as we got out of the car that I had a Justin shirt on :-) (I found it for cheap at a consignment store!), but then I saw the rest of the crowd waiting to get in. People had kids Preston's age there donned in sequins and makeup. It was crazy! And a lot of the moms matched them! So, I felt better about my parenting skills :-).
We got there right as they were opening the doors, found our seats and ate some dinner and then hung out until the show started. Carly Rae was the opening act and put on a pretty good show. Aside from her catchy hit Call Me Maybe I didn't love any of her other songs though.
And then it was time for Justin's arrival. The crowd was FREAKING OUT, which made it so much more exciting! And that show...wow! They put so much into these productions it is really amazing. Mike and I were talking later about how crazy it is that because of this one 18 year old kid, so much money is made, and spent. It was definitely a great time! I wish we could have brought in the nice camera because you would really be able to get some cool shots and videos. Maybe next time we'll figure out a way :-). I am ready for another show!
(and the videos may give you a headache, the camera could not handle the volume level, but they are still kind of fun to watch..the entrance and encore especially)
I had offered to get Ella a Bieber shirt to wear to the concert but she declined :-). She did pick out this rock girl outfit on her own.
