Vacation Ending

Saturday morning in San Antone I went and bought a real flash for my camera! I have been anti-flash but after Cheryl showed me the things she could do with hers, and being in so many super low-light situations during the Christmas festivities, I was sold. I tested it out a bit that morning and am excited to get more familiar with it.
The kids hung out in the backyard with Papa as he waited for the BBQ meats to finish cooking. During the rest of our stay...We went on a little adventure walk in the backyard. There was a barbeque feast that was amazing and a Mexican meal out that was also delish. And then there were football games to watch. Football games for me however means bored kids, and a bored self, so we came up with other ways to entertain ourselves :-).
The week in San Antonio flew by and before we knew it we were back in the car headed home. As soon as we brought the girls' new doll dresser upstairs they were putting the rest of their clothes in it and have loved getting their dolls dressed each day since!

What kind of flash did you get? I have no clue about flashes, fill me in!

Also, we got Press Here for the kids for Christmas and it's a HUGE hit. Thanks for the tip!

I'm so glad you got Press Here! It is seriously a hit for kids of all ages!
I got the Canon 430EX II and the store I found it at only had the floor model available so I got a good discount on it. My sister-in-law has the Nikon version of the 600 but she shoots weddings. For what I will be using it for, I think the 430 is going to be great and it is easy to use...but big.
