Strawberry Picking

Since we decided to stay home and "relax" over spring break (aside from eating out all the time we didn't do much relaxing in the end), I wanted to be sure the kids still got to go on a couple little adventures. When Kayley called and invited us strawberry picking it was perfect...and something I had been wanting to do with them for awhile. We got there not long after it opened and it was nice and empty. The kids had fun picking the berries (Preston also had fun taking bites out of many of his as he picked) and then we ate some BBQ for lunch after we were done. As we left the farm the line of people waiting to get in was crazy!!! So glad we went early and got to spend some time with Kayley and Ollie man! We will definitely have to do it again!

Preston loves to purposely annoy the girls lately, and here is an example of it :-).

What a great activity for the kids! I've always wanted to go berry picking. There are places here to go, but I've never done it. I'll have to look into it this year. You've inspired me! It will be a long time before anything is ripe up here though. It's amazing that you can go strawberry picking in March! We haven't even planted our garden yet! Our heat is still turned on and we haven't even busted out the spring clothes. I miss Texas.
