Somehow, after making it through two crazy days Mike convinced me that we should take the RV on a little test run and drive down to Surfside for the night. Since I had left my Saturday free of photo shoots though, it was an opportunity we couldn't pass up and as soon as all the friends were picked up from our house on Friday we jumped into the RV and drove to the beach. Addie was wondering what her surprise would be... and I told her those were only for the looong road trips :-). The kids had fun settling in for the night while we drove...playing toys for a bit, watching a movie and falling asleep as they got tired. It really is the best way to travel with kids!
The next morning we got some breakfast and then headed to the beach for a few hours before loading back up and coming home. Ella had a birthday party later that afternoon and Mike and I already had a date planned, so although we didn't stay too long it was a perfect little trip. We made a big sand castle, Mike helped the kids catch little clams that they liked shaking up so they would come out of their shells for a bit and we stopped at Buccees on the way home for treats.
