Adeline's Kindergarten Graduation

Addie got to have a special celebration for her kindergarten graduation since her principal didn't plan for them at the school (can't say I love our principal unfortunately). A few moms from our Two-Way Immersion program took it upon themselves to organize a graduation the evening of the 23rd. It ended up being a really cute event and I am so appreciative that they went out of their way to do it so that Addie could still have this special moment. Everyone brought snacks and drinks, they decorated the stage and our teachers were there to pass out diplomas and lead the kids in some adorable songs. I DO love the TWI program!
I was so nervous heading into this school year and have been soooo proud of how well Addie has done. It may not have been all smiley faces in her folder, but there were lots and lots, plus a few gold star days as well. I think the challenge of learning Spanish in addition to the other basics that come with kindergarten was great for Addie and she really thrived. Of course, art was still her favorite part of the day though. Here we come first grade :-)!

There was no picture-taking etiquette going on. Notice Preston on the bottom left and my chair next to him, where I can't see anything. They did chill out a bit after the kids started singing.
