Utah - The Beginning

Wednesday morning we ate breakfast, said our goodbyes and headed out to Utah. We were really hoping to get the RV to Utah! I definitely felt like that if we could at least get it there, our trip would be half over and it would be much easier to come up with an alternative plan if we needed to. Mike carefully planned out our route so that we would only need to stop once before arriving in Provo and it felt amazing when we made it there!!! We drove in on the 80 this time instead of 15 and the mountains were SOOO gorgeous! Between that and all the good food and the cool evenings and BYU, I really wonder why we don't live there whenever we visit. Of course, I only have to remind myself that it will snow all too soon :-)! We went to Los Hermanos for dinner (which is funny since neither of us loved it when we were there, but it's nice to go to a sit down restaurant after all that driving and eat a shredded beef taco...something we really, really miss in Texas), got some Maverick frozen yogurt for dessert (I ate A LOT of that during college!), and found a little RV park to call home for the 5 nights we were in the area.
The next morning (18th) Mike woke up EARLY to go fishing in one of his favorite spots. He caught some big, beautiful fish and was very happy :-)! The kids and I slept in, got ready and walked to Denny's for breakfast. Then we played on a playground near our little spot, waited for Mike to get back and hurried off to lunch at Café Rio when he got back. From here on out, our trip became mostly about eating, so be prepared :-)!

He and Addie are both a little obsessed with the dot game. It is definitely tricky to play with Preston when he makes his own game board though :-).
