Utah - The New Plan and On the Road (Salt Flats)

I think our kids were all partly excited the RV broke down since it meant that they got to go back to the Redd's fun house. They woke up ready to play! Mike was able to find us an RV to rent from Provo available that day, the last of 150, and we decided to try and sell our RV from Utah rather than try taking it back to Houston. Big decisions done!
Ella got to go swimming at a fun pool with the Redds and Mike and I took Addie and Preston with us to do a couple errands, including a stop for lunch at JDawgs (it was good, but nothing I'll be dying to go back for). Then it was time to pick up the RV! The kids had fun petting the puffball of a dog in the office and we got to see inside the new ride. It was definitely newer than ours, but our floor plan rocked and I instantly could tell it would not be as nice to travel in this one. It was only a few feet shorter than ours, but that made a big difference...no couch and tons less storage, not to mention just less space to move around in general. Of course, it was better than a normal car though and we were happy to have it to finish the rest of our journey.
On our way to the RV place Mike spotted a Half Tee store! I was so excited to stop by on our way back. It turns out that is where they ship all the orders out from too, so from now on I can picture the nice ladies there packing up my orders :-).
Our next task was transferring everything from our RV to the rental, not so fun, but it actually went much faster than I thought and we were able to fit more than I thought into the new RV. Chalonn was a big help...doing some laundry for us and keeping the kids entertained while we worked. They also ended up showing our RV for us while we were in CA, and selling it, which was a HUGE help. We owe them big time!

So, by that late afternoon we were back on the road, where we were almost exactly 24 hours before. After a stop on the salt flats for some pictures, we made it to Elko, NV and stopped for the night before continuing on to Reno in the morning. We arrived to Reno around 10am and Mike had the idea to explore the area that day and stay in one of the casinos before continuing on to CA the next day. You don't have to ask me twice :-)!

Second to going back to visit BYU, I want to take a trip to Utah to take photos in the salt flats. So cool!
