4th of July Fun Continued...

As we left the parade we were trying to figure out what to do for lunch and decided trying to get anywhere in Provo would probably be a nightmare. So we headed south to a Cafe Rio outside of all the festivities and it was delicious! We said goodbye to Heber and Chalonn and fam and went to pick up Hope. It's so crazy that she is attending BYU now!!! And so fun :-)! Utah was surprisingly hot while we were there so we did not want to do anything outside and headed bowling instead. Everyone was either being goofy or emotional...kind of the theme of our trip, especially those first few days. Then it was off to get the yummy shaved ice we had last year...I want one everyday. It's weird that in Houston where it is HOT ALL the time they have not perfected this art yet. A little site seeing around Provo, stopping by a playground, dinner at a yummy new little taco shop and then we dropped off Hope and headed to our hotel for the night. Everything in Provo was sold out that night so we had to go north a bit, but we ended up in a prime firework watching zone. In fact our hotel parking lot was blocked off to non-guests because everyone was trying to get in there to see them. The only problem was that it doesn't get dark in Utah until around 9:30pm so the show didn't start until 10pm and Ella was the only one still awake for them. It ended up being quite a display and she and I got tired and gave up watching them after maybe 8 minutes. They kept going for a long time though! Happy 4th of July!

Ella took the picture above and then London wanted another turn (she took the family picture for us at the beginning of the post).

Hope is in the newly rennovated Heritage Halls for the summer semester and I was impressed by how nice they are!
