San Francisco Exploratorium

We had been planning to spend 2 days in the city of San Francisco and bought a City Pass that was a great deal. I don't remember how much it was per person, but we used it to go to the Exploratorium, the CA Academy of Sciences, Monterrey Bay Aquarium and on the Blue and Gold Fleet Cruise for way less than we would have paid for each individual entrance fee. The other thing I was hoping to use on it was a pass to ride the cable cars, but we ran out of time...one of these times when we are there we are going to do it though!
So, I had carefully mapped out our Sunday and Monday with which sites and which restaurants would have us driving around as little as possible in the city. Then I went online to check the opening time for the Exploratorium and found out it was closed on Mondays which ruined my whole plan!!! We had to squeeze it in on Sunday with the Academy of Sciences and as a result decided to skip walking on the Golden Gate bridge this year since we did it last year and we would be taking the cruise under it.
The Exploratorium was AMAZING!!! It is enormous and we could have spent 3 days there instead of the 3 hours we had. All the kids loved it and I was super impressed. It was pretty crowded while we were there, but it didn't seem terrible because there were so many hundreds of little experiments to try out that you never had to wait long for any particular one. I highly recommend it for school-aged kids if you are in San Francisco! The next time we are in the city I would love to go again and spend most the day there.

Addie was so excited to see this cow eye disection! Ella got bored and left after a bit but Addie was totally captivated. There are so many possibilities for what this girl will do with her life, I can't wait to find out. And I use that excitement to get me through the more difficult aspects of her unique little personality :-).

I love the Exploratorium! I went with my parents when I was... 20? Still totally fun for just adults. Also, the toilet drinking fountain is disturbing.
