Pismo Beach Pit Stop

We stayed the night of the 15th in Pismo Beach and it was such a cute little beach town. The kids loved the hotel there because it felt more like a house (and by this point that was super special :-) and the pier area was really fun to walk around.
We got dinner at a seafood restaurant we found on yelp and the clam chowder was AMAZING (and I'm not usually a big fan) and then walked toward the pier.
As we were walking we passed some chocolate covered worms in a window and decided we had to try them. Mike went first and assured us they weren't bad at all. I offered the kids $1 if they ate one and Preston and Ella went for it, but Addie still wanted nothing to do with it :-)! You really couldn't taste anything in there at all...it seriously was like a chocolate covered rice krispie!
We walked down the pier a bit and then started heading back towards the car. We walked on the other side of the road this time and passed a gourmet chip shop (with the cutest name...Chip Wrecked). I could not help but have some even though I was not hungry AT ALL. They were awesome!!! We tried a savory flavor and a sweet flavor (which came with a cheesecake dip) and I wish I could have them again. So good.
Pismo was a fun little stop along our drive down the coast!

Preston instantly spent the $1 he got for eating the worm on purple fanta...we have some serious money management teaching to do with this kid :-)
