The Christmas Build Up

We had some great weather and lots of fun leading up to Christmas and our 2 weeks off from school!

Friday morning Addie announced she needed to wear all green for a play she was doing during school where she would be playing a snake and cricket. She then went in her room and whipped up the rest of her costumes...awesome!

Ella had a blast at the swim party for the Silver group. They all brought a gift for a gift exchange as well as one to donate to the children's hospital. She loves her swim friends.

Meema and Papa came out to build shelving in two of our closests have some fun with us too. When Meema heard we were worried Eddie would be cold with his haircut she whipped him up a little sweater (knitted one). It is hilarious and adorable and he hates it.

Adeline's Art Gallery and other happenings

On Friday, December 11th, we headed over to a shady little mall for Addie girl's end of semester art gallery. Every Monday evening she goes to an art class and LOVES it. She has had the same teacher, Wes, for quite some time and he has learned how to handle our little artist quite well ;). Nana and Grandad were able to come as well and it was nice for Addie to get to have an audience for her talents.
Other happenings over the last couple weeks included chess club starting for Addie at the school (I go help even though I don't know how to play chess...I'm awesome at disinfecting pieces between classes haha), Christmas choir concert, Eddie getting another cool hair cut, and my special dates with Preston (to play arcade games) and Addie (to paint pottery).
We are all feeling VERY excited for Christmas and 2 weeks off of school!!!

Santa's Workshop

We were able to make it Fielder's Santa's workshop again this year! Ella was a good sport and came along but this may have been her last time...I'm not ready for her to grow up :-(. This post has links to all our previous years and it's fun to see how the kids have grown!

We had a busy rest of our Saturday! Haircuts for the kids (that included kid and puppy cuddles), a special date for Preston with Nana and Grandad to the Alamo to see the Good Dinosaur, a party at Main Event for the girls, and a fancy family dinner at Oceanaire.
