The Real Deal

And then it was Christmas morning!!!
Ella woke us all up at 6:30am after patiently waiting in her room. I was nervous Preston would get up early and go downstairs without us (he asked in every way possible the night before if he could go downstairs as soon as he woke up and THEN come and get us), but luckily once he finally asleep he was out for the long haul!
Mike went downstairs with the camera to record their entrance while we waited at the top of the steps.

The kids are at such fun ages this year where they can all do things together, so they got a lot of the same gifts. It made shopping way easier :-). 3 Minecraft Lego sets, 3 Erector sets, 3 Bow and Arrow sets, etc.

Eddie was just excited to have his comfy spot under the tree open again once all the presents were open :-).

We hung out watching a movie and building the new lego sets for a couple hours before getting dressed and heading to Scott and Kayley's house for our Christmas brunch. I love this meal :-)!
It had to be one of the most gorgeous Christmas Days we have ever had weather wise. Sunny and cool. The boys played corn hole with the new set Mike got from Mack and Cheryl the night before and the girls walked the kiddos to the park to get some wiggles out and enjoy the day.

After hanging out a bit more, we headed home with our crew and they tried out their bow and arrows. They are actually SUPER fun to use...I should have ordered 5 :-).

My family has gone to see a movie on Christmas Day for as long as I can remember. This year we went to see Unbroken. It was pretty good, but could have been so much better. I was ready to cry through out the whole thing, having read the book, but ended up not feeling emotionally involved in the movie much. The acting seemed fine, so we blame Angelina's directing skills :-).
We took the kiddos to say goodbye to Mack, Cheryl and Mark that night since we were heading out to San Antonio in the morning. And once all the little ones were asleep, we had a fun night hanging out and playing Wits and Wagers (a definite hit with us!) at Kayley's house with all the sibling couples. It was so fun and a perfect end to our Christmas!
