More March Madness

We did watch lots of basketball, but this is a wrap up of more of March's random events.
The 21st was supposed to be a CRAZY busy day for us, but rain helped to make it a bit more relaxing. Ella still had her swimathon with Katy Aquatics (they have up to 2 hours to swim 100 laps (which is 5,000 yards) and she keeps getting better at it) that morning and then we had a special mom-daughter temple trip with the activity days groups.

We ended up getting Addie her scriptures finally as well because they emboss them there now!

That evening we hung out with the Funks and some other friends from church one last time while their house was still theirs. They brought a couple King Cakes from Louisiana and Claire was the lucky recipient of the good luck baby.

And then Mike and I went on a date to finish the day off, but we ended up leaving the movie early (Insurgent) because we were bored). I don't think I had ever done that before!

Ella experienced her first March Madness tears when Villanova, who she picked to win it all, was eliminated much early than expected. She must get it from me :-).

And then it was officially spring! With plenty of sunshine and warmness all around I think it is finally here to stay!

For my grandma's birthday Kayley and I treated her to a pedicure and lunch. Such a great girls' afternoon!

Mike took Preston to San Antonio for baby Brooks' blessing and the girls stayed home. I had shoots scheduled and we got in some good girl time as well. It's fun to mix it up every now and then :-).

On Sunday afternoon we went to check out the Compassion Experience. You get to tour a "home" from a developing country (they had one from Kenya and one from the Philippines) listening on an ipod to the actual person that the home is designed after talk about their life. It was a really cool experience that we all loved. And we are now sponsoring a little girl named Joan in Uganda...I HAD to :-).

The boys left Preston's blanket in San Antonio and although he survived his two nights without it, he was REALLY excited to be reunited with it! Thanks to Brittany for getting it to us so quickly!3-31-15
