Easter Sunday Festivities

We haven't been at our house the last two Easter Sundays so it was nice to be home and get to do all our usual traditions...especially having Mike make egg gravy for breakfast out of some of the boiled eggs. The kids woke up even earlier than they did for Christmas morning haha! The main thing in their baskets were season passes to Typhoon Texas, the new water park opening up near our house and we are all excited to spend lots of time there this summer! They had fun hunting eggs, eating candy and then we colored the eggs after finding them this year since we ended up having such a busy Saturday the day before. The kids didn't mind doing it late, as long as it got done because as Ella said, "Mom, it's tradition!" :-).
Later that day we went to the Miller's house for a family dinner, egg hunt and to celebrate Oliver and Scott's birthdays. Kayley and I showed up as accidental twins haha and the food was all amazing!
I think of all the religious holidays Easter is my favorite when it comes to thinking about what the meaning behind it all is. The church came out with a few a really great videos again this year that I loved watching and had me thinking about the Savior and his sacrifice for us more than ever.
