Addie and Preston had their talent shows at school.
I snuck a picture of each and Addie's teacher took a couple of her.

This is what I posted on Instagram on the 23rd, "Total and complete mom fail today. I had promised to drop off lunch for Addie girl this afternoon. She thought long and hard about what she wanted and chose a cool ranch taco and a bean burrito from Taco Bell. I double checked her lunch time twice this morning...and then I totally forgot all about it...until about 15 minutes ago 😬😩😢. Since that moment I have been sitting in the parent pick-up line imagining her crying in the cafeteria eating little scraps of her friends' lunches. I hope she isn't too traumatized; I feel horrible!"
Mike picked her up Wendy's for dinner that night and the next day we both went to eat with her...she survived!

And lastly, I got my teeth fixed!!! I got my first crowns 15 years ago right before Mike and I got married. At the time they were a huge improvement and I loved them, but over the years they had moved a bit and the imperfections started to drive me crazy. It is an intense and expensive process to get new ones and I am so, SOOO happy to have my new and improved smile now. Portrait Dental did a great job!!!

Soccer Season Wrap-Up

Because of a rained out game earlier in the season, Preston ended up finishing soccer one week later than initially scheduled. It worked out nicely for us because the week before was his birthday/baptism fiesta so this gave us the chance to just focus on his last game. Preston played his best game ever so it was a perfect ending. He really learned and improved so much during his first season and we loved his coach, who was the grandfather of one of the other boys on the team. He was very patient with a group of crazy boys and managed to teach them a lot without getting frustrated (I could never have done it!). Preston enjoyed it so much we signed him up again for the fall season!

We had to hurry off to Ella's swim meet after the game so we didn't get to go to the team party after but Preston got his medal and cookies and was happy :-). Throughout his season he had a lot of family come and cheer him on, which we really appreciated! It was nice for him to be the star of the show for a change.
